Loan / EMI Calculator
Estimate fixed-rate loan payments with a standard amortization formula. Enter amount, annual rate, and term to see monthly payment, total interest, and a month-by-month schedule. Variable rates (e.g. Euribor) are not modeled here—use a fixed effective rate for an estimate.
Understanding loan / emi
A fixed-rate loan calculator estimates the constant payment that retires principal and interest over a set term, plus an amortization view of how each payment splits.
Good for
- Estimating fixed-rate personal or auto loan payments
- Comparing term lengths at the same rate
- Learning how amortization shifts interest vs principal

What EMI / fixed payment means
For standard amortizing loans, each installment covers interest due that period and some principal. Early payments are interest-heavy; later payments clear more principal. The payment formula uses principal, periodic rate, and number of periods.
Variable-rate products (for example index + spread) are not simulated period-by-period here. You can enter an assumed fixed all-in rate as a rough scenario only.
Fees and real offers
Origination fees, insurance, and early-repayment rules change affordability. Treat outputs as a planning baseline, then read the lender’s APR and contract for the binding numbers.
Using the schedule
Scan how balances decline and how much total interest accrues. Extra principal payments (not modeled automatically) generally shorten term or interest — confirm with your lender’s rules.

FAQ — Loan / EMI
- What is EMI?
- Equated Monthly Installment—the fixed monthly payment that covers interest and principal over the loan term.
