Tip Calculator
Calculate tip and total in one step. Optionally split the bill between people for dining out, delivery, or group tabs.
Understanding tip calculator

Standard calculation
Tip = bill × (tip% ÷ 100). Total = bill + tip. Split = total ÷ people (when everyone shares equally). An 18% tip on $64.50 is $11.61; total $76.11.
Local customs vary. Many US diners use 15–20% as a starting band; service-included countries may tip differently or not at all. The calculator does not enforce etiquette — it only does the arithmetic you choose.
Tax, delivery, and edge cases
Some people tip on pre-tax subtotals; others tip on the full bill. Delivery apps may suggest tips on food only. Decide the base before you type it in.
Uneven splits (one person had drinks) are better handled by itemizing first, then tipping on each share, or agreeing on a single total and settling offline.
Quick percent anchors
10% is a decimal shift; 20% is double that; 15% is 10% + half of 10%. Use those to sanity-check the calculator on paper receipts.
